We are not an electricity provider, and we are not owned by or affiliated with any electricity provider.
What we do for you
With your permission, we read your home's electricity usage from your smart meter (or from a bill or usage file you upload). We use it to estimate what each available plan would actually cost you, and we show you the plans that fit your home best. We can tell you when a better plan is available. We never switch your plan without your clear go-ahead, and the plan you choose is a contract between you and the electricity provider, not us.
How long it lasts
Our service runs for as long as you keep your IntelliWatt account. There is no contract with us and no minimum term.
How we are paid
IntelliWatt costs you nothing. The provider of the plan you choose may pay IntelliWatt a referral fee. That fee does not change the price you pay the provider, and it never affects which plan we recommend: your best plan is ranked only by what it would cost your home. We show every plan we can price for your home, including plans that pay us nothing.
How to stop
You can stop at any time, at no cost, by emailing support@intelliwatt.com or closing your account. Stopping our service does not cancel an electricity plan you have already chosen — that plan stays with your provider under its own terms.
